About Agence S.T.O.P.

 

SOINS TEMPORAIRES OU PERMANENTS (S.T.O.P.) was established in July 1998 as a private but non-lucrative company by Anne Marie Boucher. It's aim was to fill a void and need within the homecare field in the West Island by providing a more personal service with cultural understanding and if possible in the same language as the patients.

 

Our constant availability and willingness to accept even the most difficult cases and the continuity of care has been a asset to our agency.

We have at our disposition approximately 130 employees throughout Montreal of which 82 reside primarily in West Island.They are qualified auxiliaries who meet the standards set forward by the ASSTSAS which have been trained and are professional and dedicated towards the care of the patient.

Due to the vast multicultural landscape of Montreal, we strive to provide home healthcare in a variety of languages to best suit the culture of the people in need of care. Our staff collectively speaks, French, English, Haitian-Creole, Yugoslav, German, Polish, Hindu and Arabic.

 

Situated in the Dollard des Ormeaux, the location of our office plays greatly into the ability to provide an efficient and courteous service. Whether it be meeting with our employees to give them information or to coordinate a new service in a matter of minutes. It also provides us with easier access to our clientele.

 

We have proudly collaborated with the CLSC Lac St. Louis & CLSC Pierrefonds over the past 19 years; this has enabled us to build a professional relationship within the community.

We have always provided a prompt, reliable and high level of service and will continue to look for ways to build upon an existing foundation for quality care.

 

Over the course of the last 3 years our demand for services has grown exponentially in order to meet the needs of our clientele.We have also been working very closely with CSSS Cavendish for the past 19 years and are proud to be a team member of their quality committee which was put in place to supervise and provide a better quality of service in home care in their territory. We constantly communicate with each other on a day to day basis to discuss solutions, suggestions and procedures to improve the quality of service from our auxiliaires and our office staff. It is our goal to always be as flexible as possible when dealing with complicated issues.
